Stockholm photos

Jon and myself left for Stockholm just 2 hours after our last exam (Petroleum Engineering) on 17th Dec, so it was really a big rush and as a result I forgot to bring all my friends' addresses with me so that I can send postcards to them. I also forgot to bring my toothbrush. The irony is that I actually have 3 toothbrushes in Denmark but I have to buy another one just because of the rush. =.=" Although we still managed to reach Koebehnavn H (Copenhagen Central Station) on time to buy our Eurail Pass, we still almost missed our train because we helped 3 Chinese tourists to buy train tickets to Paris because they cannot speak a single English word. They were really fickle minded, one moment wanting to go to Brussels first and another moment wanting to go directly to Paris. I wonder how they are going to survive in Europe without speaking a single English word.

The reason for the rush was because we have to catch the evening cruise to Tallin (Estonia) the following day from Stockholm. We wanted to book the cruise at a later day but all were fully booked because Christmas was coming. So, we had no choice but to start our trip in this way.

We met Indra and stayed the night at his place in Stockholm. Indra is also Indonesian who comes from Makassar. I knew him through Shiela and we travelled in Italy together. He has been living in Europe for more than 11 months for NOC and he will go back to NUS for the coming semester. So, I hope I will see him around in NUS if I have to go back to campus for night classes.

Stockholm is the largest city in Scandinavia and it is built on an archipelago and has a latticework of bridges connecting its islands and peninsulas. We spent merely one day touring the city and left for Tallin by cruise in the evening. So it was also another rush to catch as many attractions as we can and I'm happy that we managed to see most of the things, although it would have been better if we have one more day. On our way to Oslo from Finland, we also passed by Stockholm and stayed for a night but there was no time to catch more attractions.

The photos below are supposed to be in the opposite order (again because of my laziness, I will just leave them that way). :) I think I looked lethargic in the photos because of all the rush and also I was deprived of sleep. I told Jon that after Stockholm, I would like our trip to be slow and enjoyable. Haha.... He agreed with me because we don't want to end up so tired like our Germany and Benelux trip during the October break.
