Singapore crossed the New Year at 5pm local Denmark time when I was still on the train. I wanted to give Erwin a message at 5pm sharp to wish him happy new year at Singapore time, but he was quicker than me, he sent me a message half an hour earlier and I'm happy to see his message. :)
This is a late post for photos of Marseille because of my exams and the fact that I left for Stockholm almost immediately (2 hours) and in a big hurry after my last exam on 17th December. Now, I just returned from my travel in the Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea. I will post the photos of Switzerland (Bern, Geneva, Lucerne, Interlaken and Zurich) after I have posted the photos of my Scandinavia and Estonia trip because I'm waiting for Andreas to bring my Switzerland photos when he comes to Denmark on 5th January. I stored those photos in his laptop last time to free the space in my camera memory card to take photos in France.
I took a day trip to Marseille from Paris and it was about 3 hours from Paris. The train tickets to Marseille was extremely expensive, about 86 Euro one way, but luckily I was using Eurail Pass, so it was really worth the trip. Marseille is an immigrant city, offering multiple Mediterranean cultures. The city is made up of African and Middle Eastern immigrants and many drivers love to have music booming out loud from their cars and believe me, they are very impatient and bad tempered drivers.
When I met Cengiz after my France and Switzerland trip, he was shocked that I went to Marseille alone because according to him, it is a very dangerous place, especially because I am alone and I'm a girl. I knew beforehand that it is not a safe place but to be adventurous, I went anyway. Hehe... I walked the city all on my own with a map and it was raining too, but well, I am now well and fine. :)
The stunning view of the city from the Basilique De Notre Dame De La Garde was simply amazing. It is a must see in Marseille and I simply love it! The photos will prove it. :)

This lady was selling her Chinese Calligraphy, but seriously they were horribly written! Those who read and write Chinese will agree with me. Although I didn't learn Chinese Calligraphy and my handwriting is not that fantastic, but I'm sure I write much nicer Chinese characters than her. Nevertheless, Good Effort!
