Helsingor (Denmark) photos

I visited Helsingor (Denmark) last Saturday, together with 6 other friends (Jon, Tanunya, Bryan, Nick, Rogelio and Justyna). Helsingor is just 5km from Sweden and it took us about 40 minutes (excluding waiting time for train) to reach it from Lyngby. We visited the Kronborg castle, the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet. The statue of Viking Holger Danske sleeps in the dank, legend holds that he will awake to defend Denmark in its darkest hour.

Trip to the Buddhist Monastery, DTU Campus and dinner photos

Last Sunday, Tanunya, Jon and myself decided to pay a visit to a Buddhist Monastery in Copenhagen. It was really nice to be in a Buddhist Temple again after so long. It happens that on the day we went, there was a big gathering and a ceremony for monks' offerings, so there was a lot of Thai food for all the people. It really feels exotic-Thai food in Denmark! :) Anyway, it was a very fruitful trip and I enjoyed it.

Today, Bryan invited us to try his American recipes of hamburger and pasta salad. Unfortunately, not all our container residents were available for the dinner, so we invited Pei Yun and Rogelio from another container. Rogelio is my Mexican friend who is my partner in doing assignments for Chemical Engineering Model Analysis module. He is an honest, decent and very helpful guy. We have just submitted our 1st assignment on wednesday and we are now working on our 2nd assignment. We have a very pleasant experience working together so far.

In the afternoon, there was a CCA fair in DTU and I went down with my friends. It was nice going to the pottery room. Jon wanted to join the photography club and Tanunya wanted to join the pottery club. I want to join Badminton club but I was disappointed because it was said that the club was too full and many people are already on the waiting list. But well, I'm only here for one semester, I will go back to my NUS Buddhist Society soon...:)

Below are just a couple of photos from the dinner and photos of DTU. It is now autumn in Denmark and the leaves are turning red, they are very beautiful compared to just green leaves during the summer. Tomorrow we are going to Sweden, so there will be more photos coming up.
